Kendra talked with a former Boston Marathon runner Mary McManus. Mary contracted paralytic polio at 5 years old but managed to run the 2009 Boston Marathon at the age of 55. When she was diagnosed with Post-Polio Syndrome in December 2006, she decided she was not going to take the diagnosis sitting down.

She has a new book, "The Adventures of Runnergirl 1953” that will deliver powerful message of courage, faith, resilience and hope for women to be empowered when it comes to their medical care.
