#VarsityBlues: This College Admissions Scandal Is Nuts!!

March 13, 2019

Lori Loughlin is clearing any trace of her presence on social media after being charged in the college admission scandal. As news emerged of the Full House star's alleged involvement, it appears the actress decided to delete her Instagram and Twitter, which has been inundated with tweets about the conspiracy. One daughter Olivia Jade is a well known YouTube star and beauty expert. Reports out claim that there are actually court documents that show that Lori Loughlin and her husband agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 to get their daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team despite the fact that they don't participate in crew.

Felicity Huffman is also an alleged conspirator in the scheme and faces the same charges as Loughlin. There are nearly 50 people involved in this and charges range from helping students cheat on entrance exams to these false recruits. This is serious stuff. If convicted, they face real jail time here.  At the center of the sweeping financial crime and fraud case was William Singer, the founder of a college preparatory business called the Edge College & Career Network, also known as The Key. The authorities said Mr. Singer used The Key and its nonprofit arm, Key Worldwide Foundation, which is based in Newport Beach, Calif., to help students cheat on their standardized tests, and to pay bribes to the coaches who could get them into college with fake athletic credentials.
