You Have To Sign A Waiver Before Eating This Super-Spicy Ice Cream!

...The waiver states "risk of personal injury, illness, and possible loss of life" .... for real.

Valentine's Day specials typically involved chocolate, strawberry, or champagne. In Glasgow, Scotland, one ice cream shop is taking quite a different approach, and celebrating the holiday with Carolina Reapers. The world's hottest pepper has somehow made its way into a limited-edition ice cream flavor aptly named "Devil's Breath."

The peppers make it 500 times hotter than Tabasco sauce....To order it, customers have to prove they are over the age of 18 and sign a waiver acknowledging "risk of personal injury, illness, and possible loss of life."

The ice cream's proper name is "Respiro del Diavolo," which translates to Devil's Breath. It's served at Aldwych Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor in Glasgow, though the recipe comes from Italy, the cafe owner's brother, Lee Bandoni, told Fox News. The recipe dates back to 1936, and their Italian family members traditionally make it once a year. This year, owner Martin Bandoni decided to introduce the unusual ice cream to Scotland.

A scoop costs $2.69 (plus, a ticket to Scotland), so if one bite is all you can handle, it's not such a big loss. The flavor will be sold until just after Valentine's Day, along with other more traditional flavors like chocolate, strawberry, and caramel shortcake.
