The Morning Shade with Sue!

June 21, 2018

The "Jerry Springer Show" has reached the end of its run, NBC Universal studios says. Producers say that it will discontinue filming, but they will still air reruns.  Also in Entertainment news, George Clooney and his wife donated $100,000 to benefit migrant children who have been separated from their family at the border. And also, a NEW CELEBRITY COUPLE is making their debut... Sue has details on this, and more, in today's entertainment news!

Mariah Carey sold her old engagement ring for 2 million bucks and now some people say she should sell more jewelry. Word is that tickets sales for her Vegas show are a disaster. Her “Butterfly Returns” show kicks off at Caesars Palace on July 5th and there are still tickets available for the opening show. Reports now that even the scalpors are panicking now as the place has 4,300 seats. Her publicist denies there’s any problem, calling the allegations false. The residency is scheduled to go for 3 months.

Dr. Dre is the latest celebrity trying to develop a movie about Marvin Gaye, though the project is in its very early stages. Among other things the project would need the approval of Motown founder Berry Gordy to move forward. Others who have attempted to do this include Cameron Crowe and James Gandolfini among others. In 2016, Gaye's family granted Jamie Foxx the rights to develop a limited series about the singer, but the project has not yet moved forward.

A new celebrity couple may be emerging…It seems Chris Pratt is dating a Schwarzenneger…author Katherine Schwarzenneger, daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold, had a little picnic date with Chris Pratt and of course, they’re every move was caught by the paparazzi. 46 photos to be exact and TMZ printed all of them. So what did they dine on…there were water bottles, apples, sandwiches and Zesty Jalepeno chips. Talk about being stalked, they could read the flavor on the chip bag?

After over 4,000 episodes, the plug is being pulled on the Jerry Springer show. Producers announced yesterday that they will discontinue filming but that the show will not disappear completely, reruns will continue to air. Thanks but I think we’ve had quite enough.

George Clooney and his wife Amal have donated $100,000 to help migrant children who have been separated from their parents at the border. They did it via the Clooney Foundation for Justice and the money went to the “Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights”
