WATCH: Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" Hit #1 Twenty Years Ago Today - #TBT

February 22, 2018

Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" was the #1 song in the country twenty years ago this week.

Yes, we just said it was twenty years ago

The song, which is Celine Dion's biggest hit to date, was the title track for the James Cameron's Titanic film (which was released on November 1, 1997). The track was also released as a single from Celine's Let's Talk About Love album later that year.

The iconic track remains one of the best selling singles of all time. Plus, you can't think of the song without thinking about the movie, right?

Dion took the stage of the 2017 Billboard Music Awards last year to mark the anniversary of the movie. We're celebrating on this Throwback Thursday by watching that performance:

Yeah, Celine STILL has it! It gave us chills twenty years later.

Ahead of the anniversary, Dion revealed to Billboard Magazine that she didn't want to record the track when the idea was first presented to her. You can check out the incredible story here
