Actor Mark Wahlberg returned here to Boston to film a new movie.  The Dorchester native was spotted with a film crew on West Broadway and Southie yesterday.  It's part of a shoot for the Netflix movie "Wonderland".  Wahlberg will be playing the role of a man released from prison who falls back into crime in Boston.

The film version of “Little Women” shot scenes in Boston over the long weekend. The iconic novel turned 150 this year, so in order to capture the authentic feeling of 1868 Boston, filmmakers laid down a layer of dirt on a portion of Dartmouth Street. Along with Watson, “Little Women” stars Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern, and Saoirse Ronan, and is directed by Greta Gerwig (“Lady Bird”). The film shoots October through December in Boston, Concord, Ipswich, Lawrence, and the Lexington/Burlington area. Hits theaters Christmas Day of 2019.

Some bad blood between the President and Taylor Swift after she publicly endorsed the democratic candidate for senate in Tennessee. The president now saying he likes her music about "25 percent less." Only in America.

New Kids On The Block announced a MIX TAPE tour. The Boston-born band will be calling on some fellow stars from back in the day to make it happen. Joining New Kids: ladies-only hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa, which is also slated for a residency in Las Vegas; former pop sensation Tiffany; singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson; and rap trio Naughty by Nature. The tour will be kicking off in May and will hit 53 cities across the country, including NKOTB’s hometown of Boston on June 28, 2019.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have officially given out over one million dollars in college scholarships.  The couple awarded one-hundred thousand dollars to a high school senior in eleven different cities they performed in on their On the Run II tour.  Each one was chosen by the Boys and Girls Club.  ​
