Spongebob Creator Stephen Hillenburg Dies at 57

Sad news out of Hollywood… the creator of the hit Nickelodeon show "SpongeBob SquarePants," has died. Stephen Hillenburg was just 57 and passed after a battle with ALS. The SpongeBob show debuted in 1999 and is the 5th longest running animated series. Hillenburg picked up 2 Emmys for his work which included writing and directing of all the SpongeBob movies.

Jerry Springer is returning to daytime TV...this time with a gavel. He'll be Judge Jerry and he promises it'll be a more entertaining court show. After 27 years of on-set brawls and family clashes, he says he's coming back in a whole new way. He actually has more than 15 years experience as a practicing lawyer so he's qualified to be Judge Jerry and says he's excited to be called Honorable for the first time in his life. 

Ryan Seacrest will host Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve for the thirteenth time. Seacrest will be joined alongside Jenny McCarthy at Time's Square in New York City for the iconic ball drop.  Ciara will host the West Coast party in Hollywood that will feature performances from the likes of Charlie Puth, Foster the People, Macklemore, and the Chainsmokers featuring Kelsea Bellerini to name a few. Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale will be reporting in from New Orleans. It all kicks off at 8 on New Years Eve on ABC. 

Justin Timberlake is postponing a few more shows on his Man of the Woods Tour while he continues to deal with bruised vocal cords.  Shows will be rescheduled that were set for this week in LA, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Fresno. Timberlake has been having issues with his vocal cords for around a month, and this makes eight shows he has postponed so far.

Pete Davidson learned his lesson after rushing into the matching tattoo stage of romance with former fiancée Ariana Grande. With his latest ink, he's decided to honor a lady that he (and the rest of the world) will surely love forever: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg. He also has a tattoo of Hilary Clinton.
